Stephen Freeman as Elvis
Stephen is originally from Thomasville, NC. He and his wife Bridgette currently reside in Winston-Salem, NC. He served as a police officer and private investigator for 8 years. Stephen’s tribute to Elvis Presley started professionally in 1998 and he has since performed in theaters all over the country, including multiple cruise ship performances.
Stephen has written, produced, and starred in 2 plays about the life of Elvis Presley. Stephen and his “Tribute to Elvis” band have opened for Charlie Daniels and Lee Brice and in 2009 Stephen won the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest at Harrah’s Cherokee Casino. Stephen was a finalist in the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest held in Memphis, TN in for three consecutive years. Stephen was further awarded a Certificate of Commendation by the Secretary of State of West Virginia and a key to the city of Charleston, WV for providing his Elvis Tribute in a fundraiser for Medical Missions in the state. Stephen was announced by Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc. as the Elvis Tribute Artist Fan Vote Poll Winner, as voted on by fans from all over the world for two consecutive years. In December of 2011 Stephen was named Tribute Artist of the Year by the CMA’s in Charlotte, NC. Stephen was further selected to perform on the official Elvis Cruise in January, 2012. While on the Elvis Cruise Stephen was also selected by the passengers on board as the preliminary winner for the 2012 Ultimate Elvis Contest.
Stephen was also contracted to perform for Legends in Concert in Myrtle Beach, SC and in August of 2012 Stephen was named one of the top 10 Elvis Tribute Artists in the world at the Ultimate Elvis Tribute Artist Contest presented by Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc. in Memphis, Tn. While in Memphis that year, Elvis Presley Enterprises, Inc. invited Stephen to showcase his tribute to Elvis at the all new main event pavilion during Elvis Week. In 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2022 Stephen was selected to perform on the official Country Music Cruise with the Oak Ridge Boys, Kenny Rogers, Randy Owen, Martina McBride, Gatlin Brothers, Josh Turner, Charlie Pride and many others.
